How will I feed myself????
Hello everyone!!!
So before coming to Sogang, I was very worried about where I would be able to get food besides Gonzaga Dormitory. So lets begin!!
Gonzaga Dormitory offers breakfast Sunday-Friday from 7:30am-9:00am and Saturday until 9:30am. lunch is served from 5:30pm-7:00pm Sunday-Friday, no lunch on Saturday.
If you miss this then don't panic because you have your options.
Option 1. You can eat on campus.
There are many places in front of Gonzaga you can grab something to eat. In front of Gonzaga is Gonzaga Plaza where you can find a Popeyes, a Coffe Bean, and several other establishments that sell ramen, spaghetti, hamburgers, etc. Everything is reasonably priced and very tasty.
Apart from Gonzaga Plaza, there is a cheap student cafeteria in front of K-Hall (Kim Dae-gon Hall). K-Hall is the Business building in front of where the Post Office and Mary Cafe are. You could get a decent meal for about $3. You can also find another Student Cafeteria in front of the soccer field. It's the building that look like a science fiction sky scraper of some sort. It look like an outer space ship. It on top of Emmanus Hall. If you look at the website, the pictures show it pink. It isn't pink anymore though, but you can get an idea of what it looks like. Right under the cafeteria is Emmanus Hall, which is where all the club rooms are. You can find H.U.G. there!!
You last option to eat on campus is to eat at GS25. It's a convenience store, but they sell kimpap (it's like Korean sushi), rice and meat, salads, ramen, sandwiches, etc. Point is that you can get a quick lunch for under $5 to last you until dinner.
Option 2: Eat outside of Campus!!!
I much prefer to eat outside of campus because 1. you get to explore and 2. i personally think it tastes beter outside.
There are many places to eat around Sogang. My personal favorites are Kimpap Paradise and Pizza Hand. Kimpap paradise is super super super cheap and you get a lot. You can buy kimpapa, bibimpap, chicket cutlet, ramen, topoki, etc. There is a wide variety of delicious Korean food here. Just make sure you bring someone you can at least read Korean and knows a bit of Korean. The people there don't know English and the menu has no pictures. Everything is in Korean so you won't understand a thing. You can try and communicate, but good luck!!
Pizza Hand is super delicious!!!! Luckily for us non-Korean speakers, there are pictures!! You just point at what you want and the prices are clearly stated there. And you get 500won discount for being a student or something. Still haven't figured out why I get discount. My theory is that they saw I was a student at Sogang through my ID card. Keep a look out because many places around campus give Sogang students discounts just for being from Sogang. ^_^ The pizzas are medium sized that have 6 slices each, which would be enough for 2 people. The range from $7-$14 depending on the toppings. My personal favorites are the Hawaiian and the Pepperoni pizzas.
If you like "Mexican Food," you may want to try At the Border. It's really good
It's only my second week in Seoul so I will have to get back to you guys on other places to eat around campus. I mostly eat a bit far from campus so I still need to explore the places around Sogang.

Hi, I know it's an old post, but I would like to know if there's any cooking facility in Gonzaga Hall, I'm going to be living there. I'm a picky eater, and have some food allergies.
